Matthew Lipsky joined Leslie J. Garfield & Co. in 2021, specializing in townhouse sales across Fort Greene and West Village. Since joining the firm, Matthew has been involved in more than $200 million in real estate transactions, representing both buyers and sellers in some of New York City’s most sought-after neighborhoods. Originally from Irvington, New York, Matthew attended Iona Preparatory School before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Economics from the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences at Boston College. While at Boston College, he was a member of the Men’s Club Ice Hockey Team, volunteered with The Campus School, and completed a summer internship at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, a New York City-based private equity firm. Before launching his real estate career, Matthew spent two years at a marketing and advertising agency, where he managed national and regional campaigns to drive sales and brand recognition for clients in the building materials sector. His experience honed his skills in market analysis, strategic positioning, and client service—strengths he now brings to guiding townhouse buyers and sellers through complex transactions.
