Independent Film Series will be Hosted at the JCC's Auditorium this Summer

After the closing of the iconic Lincoln Plaza Cinemas in January, Upper West Siders have felt a void of independent theaters. Now, a group of the most loyal Lincoln Plaza Cinemas fans have put together their own successor to the beloved theater: the New Plaza Cinema. The new cinema is partnering with the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan to screen independent films in the Center’s 250-seat auditorium throughout the summer, while the group searches for a more permanent location.

The first screenings will take place on June 24, 25 and 27 with the film “The Catcher is a Spy.” For show times and more information, visit their website at www.newplazacinema.com.
