In today’s real estate market, we are noticing that more and more buyers are craving move in ready homes. The whole concept of gutting and renovating is becoming less attractive, and thus buyers are becoming less imaginative. Many beautiful historic townhouses found in New York that are filled with old world charm and original details are no longer as desirable as they once were. They are commonly seen as a "headache" since such a home either needs to be refurbished or completely gutted, both options costing a very pretty penny. Additionally, these homes do not show nearly as well as their modernized counterparts on neighboring blocks. In order to help these less appealing homes stand out to buyers who have trouble seeing their potential, we reach out to designers for a helping hand.
